The Maroon Bells: A Travel to the Mountains

In the United States, the Maroon Bells, surrounded by National Forest Lands, are the most overwhelming peaks wherein many pictures circulate around the world. When visiting this place, you can discover the glacial valley. Besides, the field of wildflowers, and mirrors images of the Maroon Bells are reflected in the Maroon Lake’s waters. It is completely amazing to see a landscape like this.

The access to Maroon Bells is limited by car; however, bus tours every daily during summer time are available. Also, it is possible to get there by bikes, skateboards, hikes, rollerblades, and all those non-motorized means of transportation.

If you do not know what the appropriate way is to get to Maroon Bells from Aspen,  Snowmass or Downvalley, taking a bus is the easiest option to arrive there. You just have to take the Castle/Maroon bus going to Highlands where there you purchase tickets for the bus tour to Maroon Bells. Although it is not permitted the use of cars by the road, a Golden Access Pass makes it possible to drive to Maroon Creek Road at anytime for half cost of the car pass fee.

Before adventuring in a trip full of adrenaline and emotion, be sure what the schedules are for buses and cars because it is very important to know these details in advance. Remember to bring a camera because there are lots to admire at the top of the mountain.
